The home itself has remained virtually unchanged for more than a century.  When you step through the huge front door surrounded by gleaming leaded glass, it is as if you have been transported back in time. Completely furnished in period antiques including many of the original owners items, the Gilbert Mansion provides an atmosphere unlike anything in the area.

Conveniently nestled in the heart of beautiful Grand Rapids, MN, the Gilbert Mansion is perfectly located to enjoy everything that Northern Minnesota has to offer. We are within walking distance of Downtown, Shopping, Restaurants, Brewery,  Reif Performing Arts Center, Itasca County Fairgrounds, several lakes, the Mississippi River, and hiking and biking trails.

Experience the magic of the Gilbert Mansion with your Bed & Breakfast stay.  Three floors of the home and the entire grounds are yours to enjoy!  You'll begin each day with an elegant multi-course breakfast served on antique china in our beautiful dining room. Guests have access to their own bedroom, bathroom, living room, formal dining room, parlor, large covered front porch and yard/gardens. Our Ballroom is currently undergoing renovation work and will soon be available to guests. Guided tours of the home available upon request. One hour tour includes 17 rooms of the mansion with complete history of the Gilbert family and early Grand Rapids.....very interesting! Off-street parking and Free Wi-Fi available.
